Charles River Link Trail Wellesley MA The Sudbury Aqueduct Part 1.

The Sudbury Aqueduct is a defining feature of the land between its origin in Southborough and its arrival at the Chestnut Hill Reservoir.

The Charles River Link Trail meets it south of Longfellow Pond in Wellesley.

From there, it traverses an old basin area between two rises before passing through parts of the Babson College campus along the Needham border.

This is a fascinating roam with a few pockets of forest.

I parted with the trail at Great Plain Ave as a handy spot to get to the Wellesley Square commuter rail station.

The aqueduct continues to carry the trail for a while longer before a divergence takes the Charles River Link south to through Dover to Medfield.
