New England nature things with special focus on the Bay Circuit Trail, greater Boston, its land conservation facets and outdoor recreation opportunities.
The trailhead on the eastern side is in Dover just to the north of the Dover-Sherborn Regional High School.
From there it crosses a few fields before entering a riverside forest.
The forest rises along exposed ledge that makes the opposite side of the Rocky Narrows from the venerable Sherbornparcel belonging to the Trustees of Reservations.
The Medfield side is comparably striking with a well blazed trail designed for best possible aesthetic appeal.
From there the trail descends to wetlands with a few interesting hospital outbuilding ruins.
